- When did you start at The HOPE Center? I have been involved at The HOPE Center for over three years. First, as a volunteer and then as a staff member.
- How did you get connected to The HOPE Center? I had known about The HOPE Center for years, but with young kids at home, the timing just wasn’t right to get involved. As my children grew up and my schedule began to open up, I finally had the chance to start volunteering. I’m so glad I did. What began as a few hours here and there turned into a staff role, and it’s been such a meaningful and rewarding journey ever since.
- How have you seen God work through this ministry? I’ve seen the Lord move in powerful ways through this ministry. In our Parenting Program, clients are often paired with mentors in what we call divine appointments—perfectly matched in ways only God could orchestrate. There have also been so many moments when our supplies were running low, and out of nowhere, someone shows up with exactly what we need. It’s been a beautiful reminder that God is always faithful to provide, right on time.
- Favorite memory with The HOPE Center? As staff, we begin each workday with prayer, praise, and worship. One morning, after our former Men’s Coordinator got engaged, we decided to celebrate with a special devotional from the Song of Solomon. Let’s just say—we didn’t expect it to be quite so engaging! We were in tears laughing. It was a moment of joy, connection, and a reminder that even Scripture can surprise us.
- Favorite bible verse(s)? Romans 12:12, Romans 5:3-4 and Psalm 91
- Fun fact about you? I’ve been bungee jumping (around a dozen times!).
- Favorite color? I don’t have a “favorite” color per se, but I lean towards blues, teals and rose/pinks.
- Favorite food? Chocolate!
- You have your own late-night talk show, who do you invite as your first guest? Joe Rogan.
- You have to sing karaoke, what song do you pick? You’d have to pay me to sing karaoke!
- If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be? Breakfast. Hands Down. But if you want a specific food, probably an omelet because there can be a variety of fillings.
- As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? My mom kept a yearly book that asked this question. It varied from a princess to a lawyer!
